About us

 

ELSA (The European Law Students' Association) ) is a non-political, non-governmental, non-profit association which gathers over 30.000 young lawyers and law students from more then 220 universities across 35 European countries. It was founded by law students from Austria, Germany, Hungary and Poland in the year 1981. Today, ELSA presents the biggest and most powerful independent association of law students in the world.

ELSA Vision:
A just world in which there is respect for human dignity and cultural diversity.


ELSA Purpose: To contribute to legal education, to foster mutual understanding and to promote social responsibility of law students and young lawyers.

 
ELSA exists in our country since 1987 and it is full-right member of ELSA International whose headquarters are in Brussels. There are 5 local groups within ELSA Serbia and their offices are on the Law faculties of Novi Sad, Belgrade, Kragujevac, Niš and Kosovska Mitrovica.
